The Barracks, a grade II listed building is situated on Barracks Rd. Newcastle-under-Lyme and the original buildings are now utilised as retail outlets under the direction of the Barracks Trust.

Back to the Barracks was a National Heritage Lottery Fund project that funded capital works on priority windows at the Barracks and shared the hidden history of the building.

Similarly to 'Castle Uncovered, the project involved speaking to people who remember using the Barracks and collecting voice recordings. Below are some of the memories people have told us!
